Addressing Bias in AI
Beyond these metrics, companies must also consider the biases that may be inherent in their AI programs. Biases in AI arise when the data used to train a system reflects prejudiced views or unequal representations, often stemming from historical and societal disparities. Ultimately, awareness and proactive mitigation strategies are crucial to counteract biases and foster AI systems that are fair and just.
